Education
I am a senior pursuing a dual Bachelor's degree in Global Business and Mandarin Chinese Language at the University of Rhode Island. I have a GPA of 3.62 and will be graduating in May 2014.
Experience
I have done some unofficial tutoring, particularly in editing resumes, application letters, and essays for Chinese students at my home university. My Chinese language level, according to the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, is Advanced-low. I want to be a tutor because I like helping others further their language proficiency. I find tutoring to be a fun and exciting job and hope to build on my current experience. Apart from Mandarin language, culture, and literature classes, I have taken a number of business-related classes. Therefore, my business vocabulary is extensive and I am particularly well-suited to help any business students that want to improve their English.
